Spoon Plate

• Plate is contoured during manufacture to approximate the eventual fracture site, allowing fine adjustment to be made in theatre. Shaft with V-profile for the fixation on frontal edge of tibia.
• The Spoon Plate is designed to place on the anterior crest of the tibia.
• It should be bent pre-operative to accurately match the contours of the segment of bone to be fixed.
• Oval hole allows for temporary fixation of the plate prior to final adjustment and fixation.
• Plates available with 5 & 6 holes.

Screw to be used: Head of plate accept 6.5 mm cancellous screws. Plate shaft accepts 4.5 mm cortical screws..

Plate thickness: 2.5 mm.
Shaft width: 15.3 mm.
Head width: 33.5 mm.

• Indications: Primarly intended for pilon fractures that have extensive anterior crushing but good posture support. It is also intended for the treatment of metaphyseal non-unions of distal tibia and the distal humerus.
