DCP Broad Plate

Broad Dynamic Compression Plate are indicated for fixation of various long bones, such as the humerus, femur and tibia. It is particularly used as a tension band plates for femoral fractures. These are also used in fixation of peri-prosthetic fractures, osteopenic bone and fixation of non-unions and malunions in adult patients.

The DCP hole is designed to create dynamic pressure between the fractured bone fragments.

All holes of the plate allow 4.5 mm cortical screws, If located over cancellous bone Ø 6.5 mm cancellous screw can be inserted in the end hole

Use broad plates with six or seven holes in exceptional cases only, e.g. on the humerus.

Plates available with 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17, & 18 holes.

Screw to be used: Fixation with Ø 4.5 mm cortical screws and Ø6.5 mm. end holes are also suitable for cancellous screws.

Plate profile 16.2 mm. x 5 mm.
Plate thickness: 5.0 mm.
Plate width: 16.2 mm.
Holes Spacing: 16.0 and 25.0 mm.

Indications: As a tension band plate on the femur and for humeral pseudoarthrosis (not intended for the tibia).
